Summer Garden Journal Class

This past summer I taught a six week class at the West Madison Agricultural Research Station offered through University of Wisconsin Continuing Studies. These gardens were absolutely beautiful in the evenings (Wednesdays, 6-9 pm). Thirteen students and I had a great time learning from each other and enjoying the inspiration around us. We worked in sketchbooks from life, but during rain we met indoors. In my classes I like to do demonstrations, such as; showing the key steps involved in making a drawing, ways to use pen & ink, watercolor pencils and watercolor. I have also taught this class in the winter, using photos and introducing additional media, such as collage.
I am interested in teaching this class in other venues and for workshops. Please contact me if you are interested in offering this class for your organization.
